McClellan book tour visits Congress

Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-MI) was so enamored by Scott McClellan's storytelling that he has invited the former press secretary to testify before the committee about a story that has long since died: the Valerie Plame identity crisis. Although Karl Rove escaped the clutches of Conyers and his lynch mob, the hope remains among the anti-Bushies that they can still bring down the president. This time their weapon is McClellan's book, which completely contradicts all his words and actions as press secretary and has, like Plame, slipped far from the front pages of the nation's newspapers. Only in Washington can two such banal stories as a non-leak of a non-secret agent and the release of yet another administration tall-tale tell-all book intersect.

I wrote about this little tidbit in this week's Patriot Post. Every Friday features a new column by top conservative writers.
