Donkeys Kick Through Stimulus in House

$819 billion. Only an insane person would say that it is not too much money for an economic stimulus package. Particularly when that package, which we are told is essential to our very survival as a nation, includes cash for condoms and ATV trails and paint jobs for public buildings in various Donkey districts. It is a pork barrel paradise that will not boost the economy. It will only add to our debt and bury us in taxes for a generation.

After a party line vote that drew not a single Republican and lost 11 Democrats, Nancy Pelosi said proudly "We are taking America in a new direction." She is certainly right about that. That direction could very well sink us, though.
