Obama Stumbles Big Time in Arab TV Interview

Okay, I didn't watch the interview President Obama gave to Al Arabiya Television, but I did read the transcript.

Obama let one rip that just stunk to high heaven. A quote, I mean. Check out this jaw dropper:

"...the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there's no reason why we can't restore that."

Okay, so 20 or 30 years ago. What was going on then? Umm, there was the Iranian hostage crisis. There was a series of suicide attacks on American tourists in Europe by Muslim extremists. There was the murder of 241 sleeping Marines by a suicide truck bomber in Beirut, Lebanon. There was the killing of wheelchair-bound American tourist Leon Klinghoffer. And there was also a series of plane hijackings that focused almost exclusively on American-owned or U.S.-bound passenger jets.

Oh yes, by all means, let us go back to the heady days of yore when there was respect and partnership between America and the Muslim world.

Does our president just spit this stuff out without thinking? I thought that was Joe Biden's job.
