Pelosi Was Briefed on Interrogation Tactics

A recently released intelligence report unequivocally states that congressional leaders, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, were briefed on "enhanced interrogation techniques" of terrorist detainees.

Pelosi and her staffers have been working overtime to parse the language they have been using to explain what they knew and when they knew it regarding the interrogations. She was in fact one of the first Congressional members to be briefed on tactics in 2002, and she had little to say about the issue at the time. It wasn't until after she became Speaker and led the Bush vendetta crowd that Pelosi became so sanctimonious about her stance on the issue.
