The Cognitive Disconnect on Overseas Abortion Funding

Without getting into a debate about the wisdom or folly of pro-life or pro-abortion stances (wish me luck there), I wanted to throw this thought out there for consideration:

Liberals contend that the federal government should spend more money (meaning the taxpayers should spend more money) on health care so that the uninsured and the poor (not always one and the same) can have decent health coverage. In other words, there aren't enough resources to go around for everyone.

So why did President Obama sign a bill that would allow federal funds (taxpayer dollars) to pay for abortions in other countries?

Wouldn't that money be better spent on health care in this country? Not necessarily abortions, but tangible critical care that so many Americans are lacking?

Pardon me for being rude, but get your priorities straight, Mr. President.
